The Project

The general idea of our project


The main aim of the project is to spread the idea of common V4 values and to motivate young people  to become active in their community life.

During a 4-day youth exchange in Slovakia, the participants will do presentations at 4 local secondary schools and shoot a motivational video clip for their peers.

These materials and ideas will be spread in  follow-up workshops among the local V4 youth in all four countries.


The description of our project

The motivation to organise this project is the struggle of partner organisations to stimulate active
participation of young people in their community life. Therefore, the most active young people from
these organisations decided to "connect forces" and try to help move their peers into action.

The project will directly involve 4 -10 young people aged 15 to 19 in each partner organisation.
1 young person and 1 leader will come to Slovakia for a 2-day preparatory meeting.

4 young people out of each team will take part in a 4-day youth exchange in Slovakia in June (at the
end of the school year, when the schools are open to cooperation in this type of activity).
During the exchange, the young people will come to 4 local secondary schools in Čadca (they are all situated in one street) and make presentations for their peers using non-formal education and participatory methods. 

The aim of the presentations is to make their peers aware of our common V4 values, show them opportunities how to become active at local and international level and motivate them to take these opportunities.

On the last day of the exchange, a motivational video spot will be shot on the street connecting these 4 secondary schools. The students from the presentations will also particiapate in this video clip (approx. 500 students).

After the exchange, each project team will spread the video spot and materials from the presentations at local level. Therefore, each project team will organise 5 workshops to promote the project, the idea of
common V4 values and to motivate the young people become active at local and international level.
The video spot will be spread in local media, websites, public presentations, etc.

The Youth - our target group

The main target group are young people aged 15 to 19 who generally lack interest in issues in their
local community and do not want or do not know how to get involved in the community.
The project teams will further spread the message of the project among 1000-2500 young people
during the follow-up workshops and to about 100-500 other people in their local community (family,
friends, of the young people invoved.).
